A TASTE OF TUSCANY
Day 1
Pisa- head straight for the rural countryside, stay near picturesque San Gimignano, wander through the city’s labyrinth of medieval streets and you will come to a variety of restaurants where you can sample some delicious Tuscan cuisine.
Day 2
San Gimignano - drive to Siena and see this medieval city, walk through the 17 contrade (boroughs), which compete against each other in the bi-annual horse race, il Palio.
Day 3
Siena - head to your hotel in Cortona, Plenza,San Felice or Radda, where you will be guided on some interesting itineraries revolved around the famous Chianti wine region.
Day 4
Chianti Wine Region - spend the day driving amongst the numerous vineyards and picturesque towns where you will have many opportunities to sample the local produce.
Day 5
Chianti Wine Region - seanic drive to Florence, for a taster of the Renaissance capital, perhaps pre book a Florence City Tour. Then enjoy this city at your own leisure, with it’s array of markets, boutiques and museums. During the summer months, relax at the Boboli Gardens.
Day 6
Florence - soak up some more culture or head to Fiesole, which sits peacefully in the hills just above Florence, and marval at the great skyline below.
Day 7
Return to Piza. If you have time make sure you see the famous leaning tower.
