Aldeburgh
Aldeburgh is found on the Suffolk coast, and provides you with a lovely place to spend a few days. A traditional fishing
town, you can still see the small fishing boats leaving from the pebble beach. Fresh fish can also be
purchased directly from the fisherman's shacks which line the edge of the beach. The Aldeburgh
High Street also has the feel of a traditional town, with a couple of Adnams pubs (for those who aren't aware -
Adnams are based just up the road in Southwold),
a very popular fish and chip shop; when I say popular, read that as "has big queues", an ice-cream shop, and
old style sweetshop.
As a cottage holiday is self-catering, you can also make the most of the independent butchers and bakers too.
Aldeburgh is a lovely place to spend a few days, and although Aldeburgh is right out in the sticks, you can still easily access
this town from the main A12, which runs about 10 miles to the west of Aldeburgh.
