Walk, rollerblade or cycle on the popular 47-mile Pinellas Trail right next to the campsite or rent a canoe and paddle the peaceful bayou, alive with herons, egrets and other wildlife. Salt-air breezes cool this tropical paradise along a mangrove-lined bayou and only a few miles from the sugar-white beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, the cities of St.Petersburg and Tampa and the adrenaline fuelled Busch Gardens theme park. Alternatively, the Pinella’s Trail is adjacent to the campsite with it’s miles and miles of easy walking or cycling through some of the best nature that Florida has to offer.
