At the end of your course you will be able to sit for the optional ASET Level 3 Diploma in Child Day Care. This award is at an equivalent to A Level or NVQ Level 3. ASET (Accreditation Syndicate for Education and & Training) is a leading National Awarding Body specialising in providing, quality-assuring and certificating vocational learning programmes. Taking the Diploma in Child Day Care will enable you to start or progress your career as a child care professional. Teaching Assistant Qualifications Upon successful completion of your seven Study Units and assignments you be awarded the ASET Level 2 Teaching Assistant Certificate. This is an externally accredited award from ASET, an awarding body recognised by the UK Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. This award is equivalent to a GCSE or NVQ Level 2. Child Learning and Development Qualifications Upon successful completion of your five written assignments you will be eligible for the National Open College Network (NOCN) Level 3 Diploma in Child Care, Learning and Development. The NOCN* is a leading UK awarding body recognised by the UK Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, and this award will satisfy the current OFSTED requirements for people planning to work in a child care environment in a wide variety of roles. In addition, this course will equip you to take the GOAL Level 3 National Vocational Qualification in Children’s Care, Learning and Development at the end of your training. This qualification meets the current Sure Start standards and, if you plan to run a nursery or child care facility, such a recognized qualification is essential.
