Teaching Assistant Qualifications
Upon successful completion of your seven Study Units and assignments you be awarded the ASET Level 2 Teaching Assistant Certificate.
This is an externally accredited award from ASET, an awarding body recognised by the UK Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. This award is equivalent to a GCSE or NVQ Level 2.
Child Learning and Development Qualifications
Upon successful completion of your five written assignments you will be eligible for the National Open College Network (NOCN) Level 3 Diploma in Child Care, Learning and Development.
The NOCN* is a leading UK awarding body recognised by the UK Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, and this award will satisfy the current OFSTED requirements for people planning to work in a child care environment in a wide variety of roles.
In addition, this course will equip you to take the GOAL Level 3 National Vocational Qualification in Children’s Care, Learning and Development at the end of your training. This qualification meets the current Sure Start standards and, if you plan to run a nursery or child care facility, such a recognized qualification is essential. (Please note, however, that if you wish to apply for this qualification you will need to contact your local GOAL centre direct, and arrange it on your own initiative.)
