According to the ABI (Association of British Insurers):
• every day, four people are killed or seriously injured in accidents involving young drivers

What's the maximum age you can drive until in the UK
In theory there is no age limit for driving in the UK. So long as you stay fit and healthy then you can continue to drive well into retirement. However, the DVLA(Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority) stipulate that you must renew your driving licence at age seventy, as your full licence expires at that date. From the age of seventy you must renew your licence every three years.
People who drive for a living need to renew their licence on reaching 45 years of age and must renew them every five years until the age of sixty five at which point they must renew their licence annually.
