Holiday bingo is exclusively designed to have fun during the holidays. The flashcards of the bingo game should be laminated and photocopied. It can be painted and decorated if desired. A snowman is included in the bonus card. Two markers are drawn on the game board when the bonus card is drawn. Photocopy and laminate several boards. For markers use beans or paper cut in geometrical shapes.

Hold up the flashcard picture and say the word aloud. The players will search for the similar picture on their game board. If they find it they cover it with the bean or the paper cuttings. If a player has succeeded in coving all the pictures vertically, horizontally and diagonally they yell “bingo”. The player who has won reads every picture he or she had covered and the caller verifies it. A small prize is given to the winner and they are applauded.

Since the theme is holiday bingo; Christmas tree, snowman, three wise men, Santa Claus, ornaments, stockings, angel, lights, candles, Mother Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, gingerbread house, sleigh, holly, snowflakes, carolers, stable, church, wreath, reindeer etc. would be a novel idea to draw on the flashcards.

Coins and buttons can also used as markers. These bingo picture cards can later also be used to teach words to children and used for educational purpose as well. The pictures could also be replaced with different pictures or numbers later on. The pictures could also be glued to cardboard before laminating them. This will make it sturdier and it will last longer.

Different themes can be selected or even combined to make holiday bingo into a children show. Images of Alice in Wonderland, Hansel and Gretel, snow white and the seven dwarfs, Cinderella, Rapunzel etc. can also be used to make bingo cards.
