| Bingo Terms
Bingo has its own terminology. A caller has to be well acquainted with the bingo terms. Here is a list of commonly used bingo terms.
Admission packet
It consist of 6 to 12 cards, which is the minimum requirement to participate in the game
Bingo ball
The numbers, are imprinted on the bingo balls, they are selected randomly while playing the game.
Bingo Board
It throws light on the number that is called.
Bingo event game
The prize in this game is decided on the basis of the bingo ball that is drawn.
Bingo Machine
It is a device for selecting all the unselected bingo balls.
Bingo paper pack
It consist of specific numbered sheets of various color which are collated together, these are used during each game of bingo session.
Blackout
It is a bingo pattern whereby you need to cover the entire card for winning.
Blower
A device that shuffles the balls and distributes it to the caller before the number is announced.
Break open
A card totally made by using paper and paper products with perforating tabs.
Caller
The person who announces the bingo numbers is called the caller.
Coverall
This is similar to blackout
Dauber
It is an ink filled pen which is used to smear the numbers that have been called out. Daubers are also known as ink-markers and dabbers.
Early bird game
Bingo game that begins before the scheduled game.
Face
The individual sheet with 24 numbers and a free space is known as face.
Free space
It is similar to a Joker or wild square; it is beneficial towards the end the game for winning.
Hard card
It is a reusable card comprising bingo faces.
Moon light bingo
Bingo sessions that start late in the night, normally around 10.00 p.m.
