Price comparison sites such as Wardrobe Workout are a good place to start. This site lists hundreds of thousands of items of clothing and footwear and more besides, and if any item is available from more than one supplier then the prices are compared. All items are linked directly to the online store where they can be purchased, packaged and shipped to your door.
Another string to bow of anyone buying clothing and footwear online is the discount voucher site. These sites provide a free information service by collecting the current discount vouchers offered by various shops and other merchants and then publishing them online in the form of a voucher code site. These codes (also known as e-coupons or promotional codes) can then be used at the checkout by the shopper to secure a discount or other special offer e.g. a free gift.
Of course, the great thing about online shopping for clothes is that the range is vast, so if you’re bored of the High Street you can be sure that there’ll be plenty more scope and choice on the nearest computer screen. During a recession you can not only take care of your clothing and footwear needs but by continuing to spend (wisely) you’ll be doing your bit for the economy and keeping small businesses alive – the large as well as the small.
